Marion Roache, a nutritionist and lifestyle coach; contacted me to design a logo for her business Bia Real. She really liked my (Libra) tattoo design of a balance scales and wanted something similar for her business logo.
After doing some investigating and ideation I decided a kitchen scales would be more appropiate for the brand. Instead of encouraging weight loss, Bia Real focuses on nutrition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Hence the tag line ‘Nutrition for Health’.
As well as the logo, the client also requested I design her business cards, a letterhead and social media icons.
First Pitch
Leaves and symbols of nature are overused for lifestyle logos. The kitchen scale design better represents the brand’s mission without being too obvious. Instead of balance the kitchen scale measures food, which is a strong and universal symbol for nutrition and health.
